Best Heritage Trail 2017: Carcar City
Carcar is dubbed as the Heritage City of Cebu as it is home to Spanish and American period structures, including the Church of St. Catherine of Alexandria and ancestral houses of distinctive architectural details. The Rotunda is also a familiar scene when in Carcar City where vendors of local delicacies such as ampao, bucarillo and chicharon are found and of course, the public market nearby where one can buy the famous Carcar lechon and hanging rice.
