A badge of excellence

NOW on its third year, the Sun.Star Weekend Best of Cebu special issue has grown by leaps and bounds and has become an integral part of the Cebuano community. It is now the most awaited and anticipated issue of Sun.Star Weekend and is even considered a collectors’ issue by many.

Foodies use the issue as a restaurant guide and go on a gastronomic tour of Cebu. Others discover new places to visit and new experiences to try. Visitors use it as a guide to choose where to stay when in Cebu.

The Best of Cebu award is a badge of excellence and serves as Sun.Star’s seal of approval. Establishments proudly display their Best of Cebu seal and use it in their marketing activities and collaterals.

For this issue, we have introduced two new major awards, as well as incorporated a People’s Choice category to give netizens a voice. The two new major awards are the Restaurant of the Year and the Mall of the Year Award.

We have also established a new category whose winners are chosen, not by Sun.Star, but via public voting online.
